It Is A Tangled Web We Weave
What a show Washington put on. Finally, our elected official in Washington, DC responded to the debt ceiling crisis, and passed the debt ceiling increase President Obama was looking for. Obama signed the debt ceiling increase on August 2, 2011.
Do you believe that there will be $2.4 trillion reduction in government spending?
Do you believe that the committee which will be formed to recommend $1.4 trillion will be anything less than a circus side show?
Do you believe that the Tea Party actually impacted the outcome?
Did you believe Obama wasn’t going to pay Social Security and Medicare if the August 2nd deadline wasn’t met?
I believe the answer is no. This was Beltway politicians at their best. Now you see it, then you don’t.
The Democrats would have you believe that the Republicans were willing to shut down the government. The Republicans would have you believe that they would actually get their agenda through the full Congress. What a bunch of malarkey.
What were accomplished were sound bites for Obama to use in his 2012 re-election campaign. He projected himself as the great leader who brought both political parties together for the well being of the Country. Main stream media failed to be accurate and unbiased in their reporting. They are incapable in reporting the issues clearly.
The only thing accomplished was the United States raising its credit card limit by $2.4 trillion. The taxpayers, who we are the minority, will continue to pay for all of the mistakes our elected official make. Since we are the minority who vote, the majority are recipient of government entitlements, we will never be able to elect responsible politicians who believe in a smaller more efficient government, who is less intrusive to the private sector, (also taxpayers).
Sadly, our children will pay for all of these mistakes that are being made today by Washington, DC. Has the American Way died? Will the creative and innovative private sector become extinct? I like to believe we can overcome and continue our never give up attitude, but they are grinding us down. How long do you think it will be before we work four days a week for taxes and one day a week for ourselves? It will be here before you know it.
